Our core business is verification of safety for electrical installations located in potentially flammable atmospheres or 'Hazardous areas'.
To properly manage the additional risk of fire or explosion in a hazardous area special attention is required at all stages of the electrical installation life cycle, from the initial design concept, through detailed engineering, construction, commissioning, placing into service and ongoing inspection and maintenance.
From grain storage and food manufacture to water and wastewater treatment, through offshore oil and gas exploration and downstream processing to exciting new renewable energy hydrogen facilities we have tailored our assurance services to meet the specific needs of different industries.

Drawing on over 30 years of hazardous area industry experience Petrotex personnel assist our clients ensure that their hazardous area electrical installations meet all national and international statutory requirements and are safe and fit for purpose.
